Fakenham & District Funeral Services
From first starting her business in 1992, in the village of Colkirk, when Emma Duggan was just 18, having gained her diploma in Funeral Directing; Fakenham & District Funeral Services; with the help of her parents: Godfrey & Brenda established itself as an independent family run business that specialises in helping to guide clients through what can be the most distressing period of their lives.

Since 1997 the company has been based in Weasenham St. Peter, located in the old village Manor Farm House, outside Fakenham, we are able to offer private Chapel of rest and viewing facilities by appointment within the friendly and warm atmosphere of a family home. In 2005 Jason Beck joined the company and became a vital member of the team as a Funeral Operative.
Services
As part of our service, we provide you with an online tribute page that displays funeral arrangement information and collects in-memory donations for your chosen charities, including any Gift Aid. This special memorial website in tribute to your loved one, is a place where you can share memories and stories with family and friends, light candles, add music, photos, videos as well as leave messages.
When someone has died, wherever it may be, the Doctor or G.P. will issue a Certificate Cause of Death within a few hours or days of the death occurring. Providing a registered RGN, District Nurse or Doctor has seen the person after death or has given permission, we are available 24hrs day for emergency call out to collect your loved one and bring them back to our premises into our care.
When a death occurs, the Doctor who was in charge of the person who has died, whether it be a Hospital Doctor or G.P. will issue a Certificate of Cause of Death. The Registrar will arrange an appointment date and time to call you back to register over the phone. Please allow yourself at least 30 minutes as all the information has to be logged on to a computer & then checked.
Music can be played and hymns if wished may now be sung. Face masks are no longer a necessary requirement, however, the general advice is to wear them when inside a building where possible. Whilst government restrictions regarding numbers attending have been relaxed, each venue has set their own limits as to how many people they can accommodate whilst observing social distancing.
For many people, planning their funeral has become an everyday way of looking at the future, just like making a Will. Over a million people in Great Britain have taken out a funeral plan. Usually, they have known the grief of bereavement and don't want their families to go through the stress of making arrangements.

Don't even give this place a rate. Lady answering phones was vile and rude. After losing a loved one and then faced with her. Amazed that a funeral parlour could have someone like that greeting people. Disgraceful.
