Anglers is a great pub by the river with very nice food (we have tasted only the desserts though) and even a few pingpong tables and a foosball table. The only issue is that the tables are not maintained very well and all the balls are broken. That said it has quite a good ambience.

The food (roast dinner) was absolutely fine, not special, but fine, the price however was not! £19 for a Sunday roast is excessive, wherever in the country you are. The price for the drinks was also excessive,… £6.35 for a pint! The west end doesn’t charge those prices! The staff were absolutely lovely and couldn’t do enough, however they were over stretched and the service was slow, through no fault of theirs! After waiting over 15 minutes for our drinks, my husband went to the bar and found our drinks just sat on a tray, so bought them to the table himself!

Oh my Anglers, what has happened? This used to be the birthday pub for my children and a nice place to stop off by the river, yes, we knew it was Fuller's, but it was still enough just to come as you were.
Today, a host had to direct me to the outside table that I might be allowed to sit on (yes, I know, former covid measures, but I dislike needing a manual and a map to sit at a table near a pub), incidentally the same host, he must have been having an off day, nearly ran into me later as he leapt to call to a staff member and tried to offer me another table as I left with two children after our

Really nice pub with a good location. The food was great and tasty. The staff was friendly and helpful. The desert took longer than expected but they "compensated" us for the delay. I'll probably return with my family.

Went there for dinner and we really enjoyed it! The garden is lovely and the staff was very kind and helpful. I ordered salmon and my partner had the battered haddock with chips. The portions were very big and everything was tasty.

Food is a bit hit and miss, depending on how busy they are, but service is mostly good. It’s the atmosphere and scenery you go for. Beautiful on a nice warm, sunny day!

We celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary here today. It was perfect in every way. Hannah and her team did us proud. The service was superb and the food was just wonderful. We had a summer fork buffet for… the adults and a selection of finger foods for the children . however I did notice several adults tucking in to the finger food and vice versa. The quality of the food was excellent as were the drinks. We had our own server Edith to take our orders for drinks and they were efficient and nothing was too much trouble for them. Hannah checked several times to ensure everything was running

Nice pub with nice menu to please everyone. They accepy both walk-ins and with reservation. There is a small paking by the entrance( now exit due to COVID) but also plenty of curb side parking around. The entrance is to the left of the main entrance from the garden area, towards the bridge. They have 2 table tennis outdoors. 2 screen wgere you can watch the Euro2020. There are 2 sections though;if you are reserving for a restaurant type of dining experience with starters etc please make sure to mention it because your table might be reserve in the section where they serve all at the same time.

Great menu, fabulous food, and fantastic ambience. We sat on the picnic tables by the water and it was so lovely.
The green goddess salad was great and fresh, although quite overpriced. But the aubergine salad side dish was quite a large serve and really tasty - not bad for £4!
