At The Oaks Nursery we encourage the development of early skills by following a curriculum that recognises that all children are unique and allows for each individual child to experience varied opportunities and gain in confidence and independence whilst considering the needs of others. We strive to provide a safe, secure and caring environment where children thrive and learn through play.
Services
The Oaks Nursery is situated within its own grounds on the site of Hildenborough CEP School in Riding Lane. We are fortunate to have access to some of the school facilities. We are inspected regularly by OFSTED (The Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills). A good liaison exists between The Oaks and local schools to assist with the transition from Nursery to School.
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is how the Government and early years' professionals describe the time in your child's life between birth and age Five. This is a very important stage as it helps your child get ready for school as well as preparing them for their future learning and successes.
Children are encouraged to join in all activities however messy! In having fun children will undoubtedly get dirty. We ask all parents to provide a spare change of clothes for children. All children should change into a pair of named plimsolls when they arrive. Your child should wear clothes that are easily removed for them to go to the toilet and are comfortable and which you do not mind getting spoilt in the event of an accident.
