Comfortable beds and a cosy little inn.
Shower temperature went from cold to scalding and the cooked breakfasts were a little average hence the 3 stars.
The main kitchen was closed during our stay so food quality may be different normally

Avoid. We booked the rooms for 2020 and had to move our wedding, they would not refund. They also don't answer the phone or reply to emails without constant nagging. A week before they told me that the bar and restaurant would be closed, they would have known for a while. The real kicker is that on the day of my wedding they had accidentally cancelled one of my rooms (booked for almost a year). At this point they rang me during my reception to ask what had happened, this was despite email confirmation again in August and September. Their solution was to book a single at another hotel although this

We stayed at the Swan for one night only. Our room ( no.7) was fantastic - spacious with a big bathroom & bathtub and a balcony overlooking the pub beer garden. The room was split into two levels: double bedroom upstairs ( lovely , comfy bed !!) and a sofa, tv, bathroom on the ground floor.
We didn’t eat at the restaurant as the pub sadly closed dow due to covid staff shortages but we would definitely book a room there again!

On a warm (and dry) summer evening, the garden at the back of the Swan is a delightful place to spend some time with friends or family. The food and service were very good and everything felt safe and welcoming.

Highly recommended. Comfy rooms. Wonderful location. Fab terraced garden.
Lovely looking pub.
We've just had two nights in a family room and had a great stay. They were struggling for staff understandably due to various 'pingdemics' but they made our stay very welcoming and simple to check in. Superb work by the couple of people there.
☆☆☆☆☆-from us.
Hope that you're back up and running as normal a.s.a.p.

The steaks we were served were not good, but the staff apologized and they were replaced with excellent meat. Things go wrong sometimes and it is how it is dealt with that sorts out the sheep from the goats. Well done.
I have to suspect though that the kitchen had a shrewd idea that the steaks were tough as in inedible
Good service and beer and subject to the above good food.

Please ring them and book a meal. We arrived just before midday on spec and as we hadn't booked lunch they couldn't offer us anything other than crisps and nuts. We stayed and sat in the lovely terraced garden. Now you go there!!

The food was great! We went for a friend's birthday and had a private area in the restaurant. Service was prompt.
I highly recommend the beef burger and haddock.
However, the kids menu was very limited and the car park was small so we had to park on the main road. Drink options were quite limited too especially soft drinks.

A lovely local pub! Great customer service and good food!
We went with my father-in-law for an early Father’s Day meal and had some incredible food!
We had the focaccia garlic bread with olives for starters and my sister-in-law and I both had the fish pie with greens and my husband and father-in-law had the flank steak with chips.
The only thing I’d say as a negative was the portion sizes for them were quite small. But generally it was delicious food and a lovely family pub with a calming atmosphere.
