Great little place nestled in the country. Staff really make the place!

All staff very friendly and accommodating especially Eileen (the owner) Leah and Georgia. Excellent food and service in all areas. Would recommend this hotel to anyone always. Just really enjoyed my stay will come again anytime.

Great to be back home. The staff were friendly, happy and helpful. Great local beers and the food menu looks good. A perfect setting for a few drinks in the Surrey hills

Really nice friendly place. Good breakfasts, on site parking, hose to wash bikes. Next door to the pub for dinner or drinks. Only downsides are that the showers aren't that powerful and the duvets are very warm!

An excellent bed and breakfast establishment in an old building that has been thoroughly modernised. Lovely room with sun in the morning and a very comfortable bed. Friendly staff and a hearty breakfast completed the picture.
The pub next door had an Italian chef who really knows how to cook and greets his customers. Sometimes the background music could intrude but maybe that is because we are a couple in our early seventies!
I thoroughly recommend both establishments.

I am reviewing the restaurant not the hotel. The restaurant is sensational. I've never tasted such excellent food in a pub. The black truffle lasagne with Tuscan sausage was out of this world as was the gnocchi with oxtail as was the hazelnut semifreddo. The ambiance is very pleasant, service with a smile and some Italian banter... I can't recommend highly enough.

Such a beautiful, tranquil room with Egyptian cotton bedding for a very comfortable bed giving us a really good sleep. Everything is of high quality from toiletries to coffee. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend staying here especially with the quiet countryside surrounding it.

Our stay did not get off to a good start. We hoped to eat at the restaurant next door (which is a separate business as we were reminded countless times) but they would not allow us to arrive a minute later than 9pm. So we found dinner elsewhere before driving to the Hotel. As we were not provided with a mobile number to let them know, we emailed to notify of the delay.
However, when we arrived, the lady who opened up for us provided a very frosty welcome indeed, chastising us for our lateness and complaining at least three times how inconvenient it was for her that we arrived so late. Apparently

We were warmly welcomed at The Hurtwood Hotel and had a wonderfully relaxing stay. The hotel is thoughtfully appointed, clean, with excellent attention to detail and we wanted for nothing, we appreciated having access to fresh milk for tea/coffee. The decor is tasteful, our room had a very comfortable bed and sofa. Do ask for the dog policy when booking with your pooch. Great location for walking, mountain biking and plenty of horse riding options.

Our experience of this hotel could not have better. We stayed in the area because our daughter was getting married nearby. There were 3 groups from the wedding that were staying here and the staff could not have been more helpful even to the extent of providing a snack for me at 10:30 pm because I had not eaten all day. the rooms were perfect in every way with very comfortable beds and including coffee machines and kettles in the room . There was even a central guest fridge with small bottles of fresh milk. The breakfasts were wonderful, all cooked individually on request. I cannot fault the hotel
