Services
Lida Vets was formed in 1991 by husband and wife Josh and Liz Lida. Initially, there were two rooms in what was then Greenwood Ellis and Partners at 166 High Street. In 1992 a little building next door became available and luckily, we were able to secure it. It was a quaint old building that saw at least two centuries of old Newmarket around it.
Recently renovated welcoming reception and a comfortable waiting area with refreshments (tea, coffee, water) journals and WIFI to make your waiting time pleasant. We offer 4 comfortable secure consulting rooms to examine your pets in a safe pleasant full equipped consulting room with added pheromones to reduce stress.
Lida Vets is accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) as a Tier 2 Veterinary Practice. To ensure a high standard of veterinary service, the RCVS runs a Practice Standard Scheme. This involves a rigorous inspection every 4 years and requires veterinary practices to meet high standards in many areas including hygiene, 24-hour emergency care, staff training and types of equipment.
As a well-respected vet in Newmarket our team at Lida Vets provides outstanding patient and client care within our friendly and professional environment. We cover all aspects of your pet's healthcare - from routine but important vaccinations to lifesaving surgery, we can treat your pet quickly and effectively.
Our veterinary team has a wealth of expertise and experience of general practice. However, there are times when we recommend referral to a Veterinary Specialist. We are fortunate to have at our disposal the services of a number of Specialists who are willing to see referred cases within our own clinic, removing the need for sick patients to travel elsewhere.

Amazing vet service! Amazing, empathic vets. I would definitely recommend. Reception staff are lovely and nursing staff are all one in a million! Your animals are in safe hands at Lida vets. Do not currently offer a out of hours service unfortunately but that is the only down side. Everyone who works there is Incredible. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

We have used Lida Vets for a couple of years and they are fantastic. Our cat got into a fight over Christmas and deteriorated quickly, they took incredible care of him and kept us informed (even phoning us at 9.30pm with an update which meant that we could all sleep better). Could not recommend highly enough.
