I offer you a space for self-expression and exploration to improve your sense of wellbeing and quality of life, whatever your present experience. I do this through individual counselling, art therapy and creative group work. People come to me for lots of different reasons. Some come for therapy and want to meet me to see if I'm a useful person to work with.
Others come for a taster session to see how they might benefit from a creative approach, wanting to de-stress, un-block and explore. If you would like an initial conversation to find out if I can help you, please do get in touch.

Services
Life brings many difficulties and overwhelming feelings which can be hard to cope with, leaving you feeling unsure where to turn. Therapy helps you understand how you feel and find a way to move forward. The important thing is to find a way that works for you. As a counsellor, integrative psychotherapist and as a state registered art therapist, I offer you ways of working tailored to suit you.
The first consultation is offered at a discounted rate of 25 and gives us the opportunity to meet and for you to ask any questions you may have. If we agree to then meet regularly, my fees are calculated on a sliding scale (depending on income) ranging from 45 per session of 50 minutes. Lower cost places are available for those on a low income.
As a state registered art psychotherapist, I find that supporting clients to express their feelings through image making often leads to a much deeper understanding of issues. Creative arts therapy gives you the option of using different art materials in addition to talking. You don't need any skill or previous experience.
Creativity workshops offer you a space for exploration and self-expression. Working with art materials within a supportive group can help you to de-stress, unblock, find new ways to express yourself and boost your energy and creativity.
I have 15 years' experience as a group facilitator in education, staff training and support, and creativity, working in organisations such as Art Shape, the Workers' Educational Association, Broadway Homelessness and Support and Look Ahead Care and Support. The series of art therapy sessions I have attended have given me a wonderful space and support to explore a very challenging period in my life.

I am a registered art psychotherapist (HCPC) and a registered member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I work for the 2gether NHS Foundation Trust, in adult education and private practice.
My broad range of experience not only as a therapist but also as a literature teacher and a senior manager at a large charity gives me the advantage of seeing the context of your difficulties.Previous therapy roles include the mental health charity Mind, a women's service at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, and Cambridge and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust.
