Services
At Brook House Veterinary Centre we believe that health and happiness for the pets in our care comes from the passion and compassion we have for our profession. Brook House has a proud tradition of treating the pets of Southampton for over 60 years and, although the faces may have changed, those values still hold true.
Here at Brook House Veterinary Centre, we're very proud to have so many enthusiastic and dedicated individuals working in our friendly practice. We are all passionate about animals and their well-being, from our veterinary surgeons and qualified nurses to our essential support staff. Highly trained and caring, each of us has a role to play in making this a special practice for you to visit with your pet.
Our team of highly dedicated and experienced veterinary surgeons and vet nurses are devoted to your pet's wellbeing. Your pets are always our priority. We all have our own pets and work hard to provide the same service to you that we would want for our own much-loved animals. At our surgery we provide continuity of care, working with you to provide effective and high quality treatment.
Many of our patients are receiving long term treatment and are eligible for 'repeat prescriptions'. Usually, we see these patients every six months, although for some conditions and often at the start of a new treatment, this may be more frequently. If your pet is due more of their usual medication, please contact us no less than 48-hours before you would like to collect this.
In the event of an emergency during our normal opening hours please call our surgery on 02380 228570 and you will be advised what to do next. If your call is during the night or at the weekend whilst our clinic is closed, please contact MiNightVet Southampton on 01329 833112 or MiNightVet Winchester on 01962 858414.

Positive: Professionalism, Responsiveness
The staff were very helpful and were able to answer all my questions. I took the family rabbit to be spayed and throughout the day I was kept informed. The next day I had to take her back because she wasn't eating and they slotted us straight in. All staff have a genuine interest in your animal.

These guys are absolutely brilliant. Dealing with an annoying little injury right now and they are so quick to provide support when the situation looks bleak, and always calm your anxiety of having an injury on your pet. 5**** totally recommend. Big thanks to Carrie, Venessa + team for all your help so far

The vets here are so kind and compassionate. I had to bring my hamster in for an emergency euthanasia and they made the whole experience as comfortable as possible for both me and hammie. They 100% have your pets best interest at heart, couldn’t recommend them enough!

What a joke of a vet, i phoned up to inform them i would be late and on arrival and after waiting outside for 10 minutes they refused to see us and had the audacity to rebook it without consultation for the following day. The lady who attended to us was colder than ice. I will be finding another vet as these reviews are obviously before this vet was taken over by new management which after talking with other customers seems to be the case that this surgery is on a down hill slope!

My normal Vets closed in Regents Park and I was moved here. I’ve had reason to use them twice and found them very unfriendly. My old vets also used to send a text reminder when the dogs Jabs were due. Not these guys, oh no. When I picked them up on this there was no apology, just a shrug of the shoulders. Hence why I have now moved to Harriers in Hamble who I have used before and are very good. And spoken to the healthy pet club about the lack of reminders from one of their members, at least they were very apologetic.
