If you're someone who likes variations on a theme then the Udder Shop will be the place for you. Me, I'm a pickle person and I'm happy to drive forty minutes to buy the perfect pickle.
Cheese, same applies. Fresh, local meat, same applies. They've got some fun hats and Christmas decorations and children's books and toys so little ones will be happy too.
It's bright and light and airy and the staff all smile.
And the restaurant rings all the bells and floats my boat.
Five stars 'cos it's good. Five stars' cos it's the second time we've been there and we'll be back a third by Christmas.

Called in on spec on the way home and what a delight to see the refurbishment. The gentleman seating people could not have been more helpful: No tables initially available but pop back in 15 mins after looking around the shop and we were taken straight to our table. Two ploughman's ordered which were simply delicious and great quality food. I don't like blue cheese but it was no problem asking for a with. Vey filling, definitely tasty and a lovely atmosphere.

Today we went here for breakfast.it was our first time in the restaurant and it definitely won’t be our last.
We were greeted on arrival by a gentleman who was very welcoming. The waitress was just so nice and friendly.the restaurant was beautifully clean and smart and the loo was spotless.
I hope the management appreciate their staff as they really were great.
We will be booking for Christmas. Thank you.

First visit since the fabulous extension. Its got the real wow factor with a great atmosphere. It was very busy, and the staff were amazingly cheerful and competent. I ordered a prawn Marie rose jacket potato, which was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. Later, I ordered the cream tea. The scone was warm and so light, and I ate every mouthful! 😋

Excellent food however service very slow. Arrived at 1500 ordered drinks and they didn’t arrive until 1535 ( three drinks) food came out at the same time. Ordered more drinks at 1600 by 1630 still no drinks again. Complained and cancelled the second drink, the only way of an apology was “sorry it’s been busy”. On our arrival it was quiet and certainly not to the point three drinks should take 30 mins. The first drink was refunded, however won’t be hurrying back which is a shame as the food was good.
