Services
At Paddocks the children learn about several contrasting periods of History each academic year. These form part of the whole school long term plan so that as children move through the school they encounter a wide range of historical periods all of which offer an element of new learning to them.
The children learn about areas of both local and national historical significance, along with making their own historical enquiries and investigations into events of the past.The children make use of many different sources of information in order to actively participate in their own historical research.

Welcome to the area of the Paddocks website that gives you more information about the school's governing body. We are a very committed and active governing body, volunteering our time to help to create and support a forward-looking strategy for the school. Hold the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils.
I became a parent governor in 2018 because I wanted to be involved our local community, and have a say in the school's strategy and future plans. I want to help ensure that Paddocks continues to be an excellent primary school for all of its pupils. Since starting my governor role I have held the position of parent governor and Local Authority Governor.
Paddocks Primary School is a place where everyone is valued and cared for as an individual, their diversity and views are respected and where children are at the centre of all we do. Our values were put together through collaboration between the children in the school council, our Parent's Forum, staff and governors.
We contributed 3,475 of funding to our local network, the Forest Heath Schools Sports Partnership. Membership of this partnership allows us to participate in a wide variety of inter-school tournaments in the Newmarket and Mildenhall area. On average children from Paddocks take part in 15 different inter-school sporting fixtures per year from football to tennis and cricket.
