Our nurseries and out of school care services are happy environments where friendships are fostered and children have fun. Children are at the very heart of what we do every day and we offer a caring and loving atmosphere where children are happy and we all enjoy learning together. Our after school club also provides full day care during most school holiday periods.
Since day one our first priority has been the children's happiness and our second, peace of mind for the children's parents and carers. This is achieved with love, lots of cuddles and laughter too. All of our services are regulated and inspected by Care Inspectorate Scotland and work closely with local authorities.

Services
Step by Step Nursery is located in Sandfield St, just off Maryhill Rd, near the junction with Queen Margaret Drive, and is registered for 70 children. We have 4 baby playrooms for our youngest children, offering a natural, heuristic and calming atmosphere for no more than 6 children in three rooms and 11 in the other.
Step by Step Nursery in Cumbernauld is just off Eastfield Rd, and is currently registered for 41 children. The nursery is designed and equipped to enrich those important first years of a child's life in a safe and loving environment. Our nursery provides stimulating, thoughtful and exciting spaces for babies and children to explore and develop, guided and cared for by well trained staff.
Sick children must be kept away from nursery to avoid un-necessary spread of infection. We adhere to the guidlines on exclusion periods which can be seen in appendix 3 of the document attached here. Please find below the Duty of Candour Reports for the year 2019-2020. If you have any questions regarding the reports please do not hesitate to contact the manager.
Green Flag Award - Awarded by Eco-schools. Helps to teach children skills for life-long learning and how to care for the world they live in. Breast Feeding Friendly Award - whilst we recognise each families individual choice on feeding their baby, we will actively support mums who wish to breast feed their baby and have met the standard as set down by NHS Scotland.
Children under 2 are cared for in our baby rooms. These are gentle, loving and caring environments. Your baby will have a variety of multi-sensory experiences to extend and develop his or her concept of the world. Our dedicated and experienced staff will meet their every need. Individual planning for each child following national guidelines helps our staff to offer a variety of experiences to stimulate and interest your baby.
