We work for Chester city council, and brought 4 children in care away to York for the weekend, this guest house has spoilt what should have been a happy time away for them, we’ve driven 120 miles only to find… the room is nothing like the pictures, the carpets are filthy, the beddings are full of stains, holes in doors, mould all over the windows, showers and ceiling. Electric wires hanging out of the ceiling where the bulb should be, and filth all up the walls. We have had to drive home and cut our time short, and the hotel would not offer a refund after we have refused to stay in

Perfect for a low price and great location. Bus stop outside which takes you to the centre and rail station. We didn’t get the room we booked. Instead a larger room on the ground floor. We would have preferred the smaller room to be honest. Myself and two young boys didn’t need such a large space, But it was a free upgrade so can’t complain. Beds… were comfy and clean. Plenty of tea and coffee available in the room. Also a kettle and small fridge. Breakfast is simple. Just cereal and toast etc. But if you choose not to have this, there are cafes within walking distance
