Between the age of forty and our early sixties, the focussing ability of our eyes changes. Regular eye examinations enable us to maintain good vision. Cataract, glaucoma and macular degeneration amongst other conditions are more prevalent as we age and the earlier they are detected the more can be done to treat and manage them.

Whilst we would encourage people to try to come into the practice where we have all the equipment and facilities to carry out a thorough examination, we can come out to your home to examine your eyes and provide spectacles if needs be.
Very often hobbies and sports can put different demands on our visual system and discussing these often helps arrive at a solution which can make our pastimes more pleasurable. Be it a special prescription combined with extra light to make cross stitch easier, a special prescription to see organ music, or daily disposable contact lenses for playing rugby, football, hockey or skiing either on snow or water.
