Services
Our Physiotherapy team at Hampden Sports Clinic use a variety of techniques to reduce pain, improve function and rehabilitate you and your injury. To treat any issue correctly, our physiotherapists will carry out a detailed assessment which involves testing musculoskeletal structures, observing movement patterns and performing functional tests to establish the exact nature of your issue.
Massage is an ancient modality that has been renowned for its physiological and psychological benefits for thousands of years. It plays a key role in the lives of athletes for recovery, prehab and performance enhancement and this is something we are proud to provide to the wider population.

Regardless of how the tension or injury was acquired massage can be instrumental in the recovery process and can be a great tool in supplementing your physiotherapy sessions. There are many different types of massage therapy all centred around improving emotional and physical wellbeing.
This is the assessment of body movement and the forces used. These specific movements and forces can help and or hinder how we function in sports, at work, walking the dog etc. Movement and force analysis can help to diagnose the cause of injury and can also be altered to help reduce injury and symptoms and may also improve movement and performance.
Musculoskeletal ultrasound is a painless and harmless way to obtain pictures of structures in the body, such as muscles, tendons and ligaments. It uses high frequency sound waves to generate a live picture of these structures on a screen. A qualified sonographer is able to determine if there is any damage to the structures that may account for pain or discomfort you are feeling.
Clinic staff were part of a research group including the Scottish Football Association, Scottish Rugby. Sportscotland and the Scottish Government who produced the first grassroots sport concussion guidelines in the world. The guidelines were update in 2018 based on current scientific expert advice and have been disseminated throughout sports teams and clubs in Scotland.

Have used the facilities and physios several times. All are professional and knowledgable. Gym and hydro pool are well stocked for recovery.
Also use the gym on a daily basis. It's small, but excellent for the price.
