He graduated from Glasgow in 1983 with a First Class Honours degree. Amongst his numerous Postgraduate qualifications he holds a Fellowship of the College of Optometry in the UK and a Fellowship of the American Academy of Optometry. In 1986 he acquired his first Practice in Woodford Green and then went on to set up another Practice in Upminster in 1991.

Blepharitis refers to inflammation of the eyelid margins. There are two broad categories of the condition - Anterior Blepharitis and Posterior Blepharitis. Anterior Blepharitis affects the front part of the eyelid margin, near the roots of the eyelashes. It is commonly caused by bacteria that normally live on our skin, that produce an irritative toxin that causes inflammation.
I have been a patient with Mr Bahri for a few years and have nothing but praise for him. I have regular check ups as I have diabetes and it was on one of these visits that I have to thank him for diagnosing my eye condition and for his quick action it only affect my right eye at first, when it started in my left eye for his quick action this time he was able to save the same happening again.

MR Bahri has always taken the upmost care and profession in all my eye exams, always taken the time to answer any questions and address any concerns,
His friendly nature make you feel comfortable and confident in the advise he gives,
Even when calling for a problem during COVID he help answer a problem over the phone and called back to check all was ok after his advice.
