At Engaines we believe that every child can achieve and it is our duty to ensure that they achieve their very best. It may be they have academic ability, which we will encourage them to develop or sporting ability, which they will get every chance to develop or music, art, drama, singing. Whatever their talent, we will do our best to identify it and encourage the children to reach the highest standard they can in that area.

A very warm welcome to Engaines Primary and Nursery School's website. At Engaines, the children are at the heart of every decision we make to ensure that they are happy, confident and that the opportunities that are provided for them are relevant to their needs both now and for the future.

Our excellent grounds provide us with the opportunities to use the outdoor environment wherever possible to enhance the learning experiences the children receive.Through our engaging curriculum, we ensure that children can foster a passion for learning and curiosity that will help to develop high aspirations.
Everyone at Engaines takes great pride in the excellent work that is carried out with children who have Special Educational Needs and our policy is simply to identify those needs as early as possible and put in place the support that the child needs to help them overcome those problems. This approach, we believe, helps us to maintain our high standards.
Attendance is above average at our school and we are very proud of this! Children love coming to school and we work hard to build resilience and positive attitudes. It is important that we have direct communication from parents or carers to explain an absence. We cannot accept a child's explanation.
The government is provides Sports Premium funding to Primary Schools to purchase new sports equipment, to give children the opportunity to participate in different sporting activities and to ensure children have the opportunity to be daily active. Each school receives 16,000 plus an extra 10 per pupil each year - here at Engaines, that means we receive around 18,157 for the Academic year 20120/2021.
