Little Crickets Nursery is a happy and stimulating learning environment for children aged 2-5, conveniently located on Gorway Road, at the Walsall Cricket Club. Little Crickets is Ofsted-rated Oustanding, and follows the learning goals set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Funded places are available for 3 year olds and over, as well as eligible 2 year olds under the Government child care provision scheme.

Little Crickets Nursery has been running for over 25 years with a dedicated team of six staff. Every child at Little Crickets is assigned their own dedicated key worker to oversee their development and well-being within the nursery environment, and to provide a vital link back to that child's parents or carers.
Services
At Little Crickets, we take pride in providing carefully planned and structured activities that are tailored to each individual child. We build these activities on each child's personal skills, abilities and attributes. We implement a topic-based approach to learning, and their key worker flexes this with changes based on the child's interests.
Please note: Since our 2018 inspection date we are glad to have re-registered as a limited company. The most recent inspection was carried out under the previous registration under sole-trader status, but the staffing, education standards and setting all remain the same. Learning and development shape the activities and experiences that childcare providers offer children under the age of 5.
We understand in these times how important it is to keep our nursery bubble safe. One of the measures that we have undertaken to ensure the safety and happiness of your children is to suspend nursery tours. We also understand how important it is for parents and carers to be familiar with the environment in which their child is being cared for and learning, so please come with us on a little virtual tour of our space and our outside play areas.
I am glad to say most of our new starters and older children have settled very well into the nursery environment and coping very well with their nursery routine. This week we will be encouraging children to recognise brown band orange items which can be found in the nursery, home and outdoor environment.

A very warm and hospitable nursery environment for young children. Energetic and helpful staff who take good care of all the children and often go over and above expectations. Keep up the good work ladies :)

A fantastic team that look after the children at Little Crickets Nursery and they genuinely have a passion for the work they do. I have sent both of my younger children here (the youngest is still attending). The children get a good balance of free-play and organised learning activities through song, craft and play.
The nursery have a lovely family feel and I know my little one is in good hands.

Little Crickets is a wonderful nursery. The staff are most welcoming and friendly and very organised. The children look happy and contented. We have noticed a huge positive difference in our grandchildren since they started there. Well done Little Cricket staff. Exemplary! Highly recommended.

Little Crickets is an amazing nursery. My daughter was supported with her transition into nursery and up to when she left for reception. She made friend and enjoyed her time at nursery playing and learning. By going to Little Cricket she became school ready. When she left, my daughter could; write her name, recognised letter and their sounds, count, name shape, read selective words. Because of this my daughter is now in a top group at reception. I would defiantly recommend Little Crickets. The staff are all lovely and professional and will always help with any concerns you have (if any).

Little Crickets Nursery has been a welcoming and enriching environment for our child, and also for my husband and I as parents. Staff have worked with us to bring both a love of learning and discovery to our child whilst also responding to his needs as an individual. We are grateful to have such a wonderful nursery as part of the community.
