Hideaway Day Nursery was established in 2001 as a 36 place day nursery and has since grown to provide 84 childcare places. The Nursery caters for children aged from 0-5 years, in a safe, intellectually stimulating and fun environment. We look to create a home from home, a place where your child can flourish under the care of our experienced, dedicated and passionate practitioners.
The nursery includes an indoor and outdoor environment. Our facilities will ensure your child can learn whilst having fun. Our practitioners will make sure to monitor and take good care of the children, no matter what activity they're taking part in. We are open from Monday to Friday, from 7:30am until 6:30pm.

Services
The Nursery is owned by Robert Jenkins and his wife, Judy Jenkins (who is the registered person). Jody Adcock and Jenny Fletcher oversee the day to day running of the setting. Both have a vast amount of experience and hold the NNEB certificate in childcare and Management qualifications. Jody Adcock holds a Foundation Degree in Early Years Services.
As a childcare provider, we must meet the criteria of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), which is defined by the Department of Education. This means following a structure of learning and development and care for children aged up to five years. We meet the welfare, learning and all-round development needs of children with different backgrounds and levels of ability, including those with special educational needs and disabilities.
The EYFS states that assessments play an important part in helping parents, carers and practitioners to recognise children's progress, understand their needs, and to plan activities and support. To help us achieve this in a more productive way, Hideaway Day Nursery use an online learning journey system called 'Tapestry'.
Baby Room - from 6 weeks up until 2 years, children follow the 'Early Years Foundation Stage'. In a stimulating environment, they learn through sensory experiences and messy play. They can move around safely and freely under close supervision by Nursery Practitioners who provide everyday encouragement and praise.
Hideaway Day Nursery has its own kitchen facilities, where food is prepared and cooked on the premises, by our own Nursery Cook, without added sugar or salt. Individual dietary requirements are taken into account, whether they are for religious, medical, allergies or just like and dislikes. We vary the menu over a 4-week period.
