Our practice is open and providing all eyecare including emergencies, contact lenses and eyewear by pre-arranged appointments only. Contact Lens aftercare appointments can be made as usual. Contact lenses can be collected without an appointment but you may be asked to wait at the door if there are already people in the practice. Where possible we will ask you to pay in advance over the phone or using contactless methods.

E. Aves Opticians was originally set up by Ernest Aves, over 80 years ago. It was taken over by Alex Hudson in 1958 and then Kerk Davies in 1985. Kerk renovated and modernised the practice then began to build up a steady, loyal patient-base.

E Aves Opticians has now become part of Bayfields Opticians and Audiologists, with great new things looming for the practice. We have been dedicated to giving local families the best eye care possible for more than 80 years and will continue to do so as we enter this new chapter.
