Manor House Nursery has been providing an exceptional level of children's care since 1994. Situated in an old manor house, our nursery allows our children the freedom to move around the nursery rather than separating age groups into different rooms.
Our rooms provide plenty of space and a multitude of opportunities for learning, such as exploring movement on our climbing frames, using different materials in the art areas, taking a rest if they fancy or investigating the latest resources in one of our many interest-led areas.Manor House Nursery also has a large, private garden which is accessible at all times.

It is for that reason that we have adopted the innovative family groups system at our day care nursery in Bristol.

Manor House Nursery is a day nursery unlike any other. We encourage our children to explore freely, to indulge in their curiosity and to develop without restriction in an enriching, nurturing environment. Under 2s start their journey upstairs, with free run of the whole floor - so they can choose which rooms to explore, which resources to engage with and which atmosphere best suits their needs that particular day.

Communication and lack of flexibility was a problem from the start with a little guidance as a parent. Focus on the money rather than caring for children. Other parents I have spoken to in the area experienced problems with this nursery. One of their sister nursersies in Portishead (The Coach House Nursery) was closed down a few years ago when it was rated inadequate by ofsted because children were running around with forks in the mouth.

Fantastic nursery where the staff truly care about the children and create brilliant learning opportunities for them. My son has been here since he was 9 months old and loves it. It can be daunting putting your child in nursery (particularly during a pandemic) but the nursery went above and beyond to settle him in. The staff in my son's bubble care so much about him, and they have also supported me hugely through a very challenging year - they really go the extra mile. I could not be more grateful to this nursery and it's staff.

Whilst there are lots of parents and children that do like Manor House, we didn't get on well with it and faced multiple difficulties. The communication is poor and inconsistent, there's a lack of flexibility and our child never felt safe and was unable to settle. This is a large setting with lots of children and ultimately, still a business.

Avoid this nursery at all costs.
The management is rude and they are obsessed their curiosity approach rather than letting kids have fun. They provide no flexibility to parents and have obscene policies that cause severe stress for parents.
Our child suffered extremely bad nappy rash on several ocassions when they had finished nursery which indicates a lack of care as well.
We were very surprised to see the nursery workers with very long fake nails which could cause injuries to our child.

Agree with previous review describing the nursery as unaccommodating. We had only 10 days available to do settling in for our daughter between the end of a quarantine period and return to work. The nursery refused to take our daughter on the previously agreed start date because they require 3 weeks settling in. No compromise was offered and we had to find another nursery. I can’t comment on the quality of care though.

This could be one of the best nurseries around, facilities are amazing, staff so caring and committed, lovely approach towards learning and exploring! Unfortunately management is unaccommodating for anything, they make blanket decisions and do not care about individual children needs. Do not even think of asking for additional hour with less than a month notice, as "this is the policy". Most important thing are the policies, not the children sadly.
If you need nursery for occasional play and socialising then this is great, however if you need nursery to be part of your child's life then stay away

Our first son was a very nervous one year old going into manor house, but the staff have been so kind and caring, we have seen his confidence grow and grow. All of the staff are very attentive and in tune with the children, we have been amazed by the individually that each child is treated. To the point where all staff notice if he is wearing new… shoes and they even know the names of all of his teddies. They arrange fun days and take the children to the park and reptile shop. Our second son loves it. The nursery is lovely, but the staff make it a brilliant experience.

I highly receommend The Manor House Nursery. My four children have all attended the nursery and thoroughly enjoyed their time there. The staff are all exceptionally professional and care about each individual child. Currently my identical twins attend and they are treated as 2 individual boys which I really appreciate. The range of activities which the nursery provides are outstanding. Thank you to all the staff.

We are really pleased we chose this nursery. All the staff are super friendly and clearly enjoy their work. Lots of fun activities for my little one and an excellent huge garden to explore in which means that the children have outdoor time several times a day. The on-site kitchen provides a well-balanced, varied menu and the cook is very flexible according to need. I love the photos and art work I receive at the end of the day when I collect my child. Highly recommended.
