Services
The adventure begins. In smaller groups with at least 1 member of staff to 3, these rooms are an introduction to the special levels of care and attention all babies receive at Rascals. With highly trained staff and supervised sleeping for all our babies, these rooms should be visited and experienced to ensure your 100% satisfaction.
Once ready to move on to the next stage, your rascal will be invited to move up to the next age group. We do not believe that this should be determined by age, but when certain milestones are achieved and you and your child are ready to advance. All moves in Rascals are a transitional thing.
Occasional visits to your child's new room will ensure that when the big day comes for a full time move, that friendships and new surroundings are familiar and comforting.Once settled, this age group enjoys a slightly more formal curriculum built around our High/Scope learning techniques involving varied play, both indoor and outdoor.

At this stage, your child will be learning at a phenomenal rate. To feed these amazing little minds, the Rascals curriculum meets all those needs in preparation for a formal educational experience. With all their needs under one roof, we believe our nursery units far outstrip other providers in providing a stable learning environment in a caring and familiar setting.
The educational standards delivered in these groups is second to none and at a staff to child ration of maximum 1 to 8 at Rascals, unlike the 1 to 13 that primary schools are permitted to maintain. In both the Nursery and Pre-school departments, we recognise you have a choice, however you should challenge our staff to demonstrate the excellent levels of educational opportunity that Rascals will deliver for your child.
You should visit us as many times as you like to ensure you have all the details you need, but most of all, the feeling that you have 100% confidence in the nursery you have chosen. Once you are sure, you pay a small holding deposit and you can avail or up to 5 hours free of charge to see how your little Rascal settles in.

My 15 month old started here a little over a month ago, attending one day per week. On the days of attendance my daughter became ill with tummy bugs or cold like symptoms, I understand this is common when children start nursery. So this ment my daughter could not attend the following weeks due to illness. I telephoned yesterday to inform them she would not be in attendance due to a lingering cold.I spoke with the deputy manager, during the call she informed me that the finance guys were trying to contact me concerning an outstanding payment of £50, I stated I was not aware of this at all and had

I've sent my baby to Rascals for the last few months, and we have been absolutely blown away by the conscientious care they provide. They accommodate and respect parental choices, and the staff are all so engaged with the kids. I literally cannot think of any area I would improve. Highly, highly recommend.

5 ⭐️ A fantastic, warm, friendly and educational setting where the staff go above and beyond in their care for children. My son (3.5 years) and my daughter now (18 months) both started at Rascals, Ballyearl at 11 months old. They have moved through the baby room to the tiny tots, buzzy bees and into pre-school room. As a parent and a P1 teacher… I have been delighted with the range of play activities and resources as well as the importance they place on outdoor play. As an ex employee (only left to start my own family) I can honestly say if I had to put my children in daycare it would only be rascals. I have worked in a few of the branches and each one offers the highest… standard of care and they offer a wide variety of activities for the kids to let them learn through play. Through their highscope theory your child will get the opportunity to choose their own activities and express themselves in their own way building their confidence etc...
