As the principal of Monkstown, I am delighted that you are considering sending your child to our nursery school. It caters for 78 children of pre-school age, with one full time and two part-time sessions. We have 2 classrooms, a veranda and an extensive outdoor play area. Monkstown Nursery's vision is Together We Shine.

We have two large classrooms which each have a quiet room. This is used for story and rhyme time. Each classroom has a large cloakroom and an additional cloakroom is at the rear of the part time classroom. This is used for the afternoon class. Each class have access to imaginative play, small world time, a snack area, a creative area, water and messy play, puzzles and construction.
As you are aware due to the heavily reduced school budget, we are reliant on fund raising and parental support via the Nursery Fund to help us to buy the basic resources, such as art materials and play dough resources. We are hoping this year to develop our ICT provision including our broadband provision and we would like to install an interactive whiteboard for the children to use.
