Awful Company
Numerous leaks and floods. Two chaps turned up asif it was a joke, nothing was done left with water coming through the carpets, used my own towels and tea towels to soak up water which they won’t cover for.
Women in office not a clue what the left and right hands are doing, drawers and wardrobe falling apart, they’ve been out twice now and nothings been done. Wood flooring has lifted due to leak and rippling, mess was left when they came round parts everywhere and caps from bottles. Promised an apology but noones ever called. Real arsey on the phone and WhatsApp messages.

Personally have not had any problems with Spencer Properties. My flat was in a good condition when I started my tenancy and despite noticing a few repairs these were all sorted quickly and efficiently. I am able to get hold of someone when I need to and I feel that the property is a reasonable price

Avoid avoid avoid
Rented a property from them for a year and had so many issues. The flat was full of mould, contacted them multiple times and was told to 'heat the flat more', which is difficult to do with 2 electric heaters in the whole flat that drain electricity faster than I thought was possible. There were a few small maintenance issues, which were 'fixed' promptly, but with no warning that anyone would be gaining access to the property whatsoever. Came home and thought I'd been broken into. Additionally, these issues were not fixed at all, eg the kitchen tap came lose, after being 'repaired

The rudest staff I have ever met, especially Asha, who was continually rude and condescending. Jeff, although pleasant was totally inept and frequently broke social distancing guidelines during the peak of covid (during a house viewing, which they continued despite hundreds of thousands of daily infections!). House viewings were frequently cancelled without telling us and staff who visited would not wear masks.
Moving in, many of the lights did not work, the house was filthy and much of the furniture broken. The furniture was never repaired despite our complaints, and we were charged for the damage

0 STARS!! AVOID SPENCER PROPERTIES!! THEY RIP OFF STUDENTS!!
They tried to deprive us of half of our deposit based on no grounds! We had an inspection carried out at the end of our tenancy after which we spoke to the employees conducting the inspection and were reassured that there would be no surprise deductions from our deposit. This was a blatant lie. The following week we were hit with a 4x £95 deduction, claiming that 4/5 of our mattresses were stained, a cleaning fee of £260 and a window cleaning fee of £55!
After strongly disputing these fees, they wiped the mattress deductions as “a

Personally haven’t had many issues with Spencer Properties. We’re in a professional house and signing for the house during a pandemic was quite stressful and the things they wanted is to do when we weren’t even supposed to be entering other people’s homes was a bit unreasonable. However, the house is of very high quality. We’ve had a few issues since we moved in but they have been really quick and efficient to come out and fix them - shout-out to the on call maintenance guy for coming out to us at stupid hours to fix our windows and Asha is amazing in the office, gets things done very

Avoid. I’ve had no choice but to rent with them for three years due to having a dog and there are very little (if any) other letting agents that allow a pet in rented accommodation. Both flats I rented from them came with a number of issues, mainly mould which was dealt with by simply painting over it god knows how many times over. I felt I couldn’t complain to them as every issue I brought up was an argument, even being told after 2 weeks without a washing machine and (gentle) reminders that I should “be grateful

Since we were looking for a new property with Spencer properties it was easy to book an appointment for viewing. Then we decided to to move in to one of their property it was easy to sort it out. When we signed to contract and sent all our details the property was ready to move in. So far we had only one minor maintenance issue but it was sorted straight away. We live here for only 2 weeks, so far we are happy!

We have rented with Spencer properties for nearly two years now and have just signed for another contract for a further year as we love the service they provide. Any issues we’ve had have been sorted quickly and efficiently and always with a smile. They have a great team that work together to show that they care for their tenants.
