Cherubs Montessori Day Nursery
Cherubs Montessori is based in Rochester, Kent and we aim to provide a welcoming, safe and secure, home from home environment where children can relax, enjoy and look forward to a wide range of fun, learning and play activities. Our Montessori rooms welcome older Cherubs with a fascinating range of activities to bring alive Geography, History, Science and more, with beautiful, tactile materials for children to choose from as they wish.

Each area of the nursery is created specifically to be a stimulating, enjoyable learning experience for all children at different developmental stages. The light and spacious nursery rooms provide space and comfort and a special outside construction and messy play area.
Services
We take care and effort in encouraging continuous professional development in our practitioners. We have a highly qualified graduate management team and well-qualified team of early years practitioners. We are an enthusiastic, caring team of professionals dedicated to providing every opportunity for children to discover the desire and enjoyment of learning through daily experiences.
To provide children with a friendly, welcoming, safe and stimulating, home-from-home environment that enables them to become inquisitive, active learners and where they can flourish. We strive to deliver fun filled curriculum based on children's interests enriched with experiences of exploration and discovery.
The Toddler room is now using the curiosity approach. We have created a natural outlook with learning opportunities that encourages children to be thinkers and doers. We believe it's had an amazing effect. Watching their faces every morning coming into the toddler room to see what experiences we are going to learn day to day is wonderful.
Providing security, comfort and a wonderful range of learning materials for children. Children can choose between creative messy play, role play, puppetry and drama, music, sciences, language and maths activities. We have even built their own outdoor messy play, gardening and den making area!

Through these fun learning opportunities, we enable each child's confidence in their social skills and unique abilities to grow, motivating an eagerness to dive into the more advanced Montessori 'learning through play' world around the age of three.
Providing an oasis of calm, with an impressive selection of Montessori activities, books, puzzles and music to suit every interest and ability. This renowned world-wide specialist approach designed by Dr Maria Montessori in the 1930's encourages each child to learn through gently guided self-teaching experiences, enhancing their natural curiosity and awareness of the world around them.

If you have any reservations about sending your baby here - don't! They really are amazing! They say they offer a home from home environment and they actually do!
As an OCD mum my baby's care routines are a little bit different at the moment which I thought was going to be an issue however the baby unit staff welcomed them! They made what could have been a very worrying experience for me - very easy!
And I would like to say a HUGE thank you to all of the staff there over the last few days especially Vikki for taking the time listening to all of our wishes and making us feel very welcome! Charlotte

When I first went to view the nursery, you tend to feel nervous as you will be leaving your child with someone you don’t know. When I first stepped into cherubs that nervousness vanished. There is so much activities throughout the day to help my 2year old to enable to learn. The staff are extremely helpful and all are friendly, so easy to talk to if there was a problem. Since my son started there 8 months ago you can see difference in his learning journey each week. He looks forward to going cherubs every week some days he doesn’t want to leave.

My child has been attending this nursery for a while now and they really enjoy it. It's often a case of them not wanting to leave because they love it so much. The staff are very friendly and approachable. There is loads to keep to children engaged, often trying new things like cooking and loads of messy play! One of the great things about this nursery is the hours to, 7 to 7 means it covers the hours I need! I would highly recommend this nursery.

This is an outstanding nursery and pre-school. Both of my children attended and we were astounded at their development while they were there. The staff are all very friendly, you get a lot of information about what the children have been doing each day, you get regular parents meetings to speak to key workers about your child's development. My children were always very happy here.

I found Cherubs to be very rigid in their service. Firstly, they were happy to to give me warning for being a bit late for short day sessions, and warned they will charge me next time (although it was 4.15 pm, not 7.15 so there were children there anyway). Also, they had no allowance for holidays in the year, so we ended up paying for 10 sessions to keep a place while we were away! Since we paid so much money we had asked Annette whether we could have 2 or 3 more sessions (sessions that we already paid for) before we go and she was very inflexible, of course very happy to keep the free money!
