St Werburghs Park Nursery School
New Parent/Carer Presentation To all new and prospective parents and Carers, we would love to give you a warm welcome to St Werburgh's Park Nursery school in person. Sadly, this is not possible at this time. In normal circumstances, we would invite all new and prospective parents/carers to join us for an information evening to find out more about us.

During this evening, we share this PowerPoint presentation. The Nursery School provides nursery education to around 150 children aged 3 and 4 years old and to approximately 60 two year olds. There are also some additional places for children with special educational needs and disabilities.
Services
The Nursery School provides nursery education to 150 children aged 3 and 4 years old and to 32 two- year- olds. The teachers and support staff are well regarded by health professionals as having particular skills and expertise in supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities.
St. Werburgh's specialises in providing education for children aged 2-5 years. Inspired by the Nursery Pioneer Margaret McMillan, Bristol City Council built St. Werburgh's in 1931 as an open-air Nursery School. The school was designated an Early Years Centre of Excellence in 2012 and went on to be part of a National Teaching School in partnership with two other nursery schools in 2013.
Here is the fourth instalment of the Confident Communicators program led by our local Speech and Language Therapists. There is also a clip of how to use songs to support children's language during every day routines. Below, you'll find a great Paper Mouse Shapes Activity, which we talked about during today's Zoom Learning Activity.
After receiving your form we will pass this onto our Business Manager Jacqui Macfarlane who will add you to the waiting list. When a space is available the Business Manager will contact you regarding a meeting and paying a 150 deposit to secure your place.

The waiting list is reviewed on a regular basis and, whilst we recognise the frustration that this can cause, we do have limited spaces available and we try to offer the sessions you have requested. Please note we do not allocate these places and if you are enquiring about your child's place please phone the council to discuss this.
You may also be eligible for 30 hours of free education per week, please visit the 30hrs page for more information. Additional hours are available to buy in over and above the funded 15 or 30 hours as detailed below. A 150 cash deposit is required to secure your additional hours.

You will need to meet with our School Business Manager, Jacqui MacFarlane and a minimum of 3 afternoon sessions per week must be bought, secured by an Additional Hours Agreement, completed and signed by all parties.Sessions are subject to availability. Sessions can be changed, if those sessions are available and there are no arrears on the account.
