We are passionate about animal care and our skilled team of veterinarians and vet nurses are dedicated to providing the highest quality care for your animals. Because we love animals and strive to provide excellent continuity of care, we are open six days a week and have access to 24-hour emergency care.
To help keep us all safe, please do not attend the practice unless you have a pre-booked appointment, or have arranged to collect food/medication.

Many of our patients are receiving long term treatment and are eligible for 'repeat prescriptions'. Usually, we see these patients every six months, although for some conditions and often at the start of a new treatment, this may be more frequently. If your pet is due more of their usual medication, please contact us no less than 24-hours before you would like to collect this.
In the event of an emergency during our normal opening hours please call your nearest surgery and you will be advised what to do next. If your call is during the night or at the weekend whilst our clinic is closed, please contact Vets Now on 0131 444 0990. Vets Now is our preferred emergency services partner.

Not recommendable, in my experience. They charge a lot for consultation and a lot of their costs are hidden. They also have very bad email communication, though they were quick to call us to request payments. After the first visit, they did not explain their costs unless we asked. They were not open minded when it came to our concerns as pet owners. They tried hard to sell their products and services and seemed more interested in money than our pet.
Their monthly membership is absolutely not worth the worries of trying to cancel (they ignored two emails requesting cancellation), only to be charged

We've been here a few times now with our rescue dog who is EXTREMELY reactive. Each time our dog has been frightened and not entirely non-aggressive towards the staff, but they handle her mood and temperament like absolute stars and have never complained or made us feel embarrassed about her behaviour. Every single time we phone up the staff members are kind, helpful and knowledgeable. We definitely picked the right vet to go to!

I have asked so many vets and west end is the only one who is able to help me to export this beautiful girl to China. Hannah, the official vet is very professional and patient to do the whole certificate process. I am quite impressed with the staff here. Now this little girl is in China and I got her a pair of duck for her to play. She is brilliant.

As an animal lover and pet owner for many years I have had my fair share of experiences with vets, both bad and good.
Having an animal put down is always an extremely stressful and delicate time, particularly around Christmas, and at first I thought The West End Veterinary Practice handled my cat's euthanasia with care and professionalism.
Up until I picked up the ashes, and was met with a bill that was almost double what I had agreed with the vet.
The receptionist got confused as to which cat was mine, despite me phoning ahead, then could not give me a satisfactory answer for the change

I've had pets since I was a child. As a result I've had many experiences at the vets. I know then, unfortunately, that some vets can be a bit cold or appear to want to get rid of you as soon as possible With so many appointments, and so rushed off their feet, I'm hardly surprised. Actually some doctors are the same.
Yet this is clearly the last thing you want when you have a sick animal. West End Veterinary Partnership, based in Tollcross is an excellent vets that each and every time I''ve been in, seems to have taken the best of care of my cat. Its true that even then
