Have a look at our fantastic video to show you some of the things Dragonflies have been doing this year;. Oaklands is a large Primary School in Yeovil. Our talented staff provides each student with a rigorous standard of education, high academic and behavioural expectations and a solid foundation for life.
Oaklands Primary School is first and foremost a school where children are happy, confident and enthusiastic learners. Consistently high standards are expected and achieved. We are really fortunate to have a purpose built school which includes 16 classes: 2 in each year group and 2 classes in our specialist autism base.

Services
In our friendly and well-equipped school, we provide each child with an education for the future. High expectations are achieved through our culture for learning as well as stimulating and creative experiences, where everyone regardless of age or ability is encouraged and supported to make excellent progress.
At Oaklands Autism Base we use a 'satellite' model for our classes, which makes us a hybrid of a 'traditional' resource base and a specialist school. We currently have two classes, grouped by age and need, each with their own experienced, well-qualified specialist teacher supported by highly trained specialist teaching assistants.
I am incredibly proud of our school family and love working in this community. Whilst having the advantages of a large school, I am constantly impressed by the small family feel in every classroom where every child is valued. Our school motto: 'We care, we learn, we succeed' is at the heart of everything we do and this is reflected in our high achieving and happy school.
At Oakland's, we want to make sure that all of our children are happy, healthy, secure and successful. We also appreciate that sometimes children and/or their families need a little extra help to achieve this. We therefore have a dedicated, caring team of adults in school who organise and provide additional support for parents, carers and children.
We are delighted that you have chosen our school for your child. We know that it is an exciting time for you and your family and we can't wait to meet you all. In terms of the induction we can offer, we are watching the ever-changing landscape closely, and will develop a welcome programme in line with this.
