We are a small animal practice in Acle, first established before the first World War. We are passionate about animal care and our skilled team of veterinarians and vet nurses are dedicated to providing the highest quality care for your animals. Because we love animals and strive to provide excellent continuity of care, we are open five days a week and have access to 24-hour emergency care.

To help keep us all safe, please do not attend the practice unless you have a pre-booked appointment, or have arranged to collect food/medication.
Services
The Anchorage Veterinary Practice dates back to before the war, firstly taken on by an owner based at Ivy House then by two other veterinary surgeons, one in 1940 and then another in 1952. The practice was then taken on by a more recent owner in 1968, who devoted his life to the practice and retired in 2013.
Here at Anchorage Veterinary Practice, we're very proud to have so many enthusiastic and dedicated individuals working in our friendly practice. We are all passionate about animals and their well-being, from our veterinary surgeons and qualified nurses to our essential support staff. Highly trained and caring, each of us has a role to play in making this a special practice for you to visit with your pet.
Our team of highly dedicated and experienced veterinary surgeons and vet nurses are devoted to your pet's wellbeing. Your pets are always our priority. We all have our own pets and work hard to provide the same service to you that we would want for our own much-loved animals. At our surgery we provide continuity of care, working with you to provide effective and high quality treatment.
In the event of an emergency during our normal opening hours please call our surgery on 01493 750255 and you will be advised what to do next. If your call is during the night or at the weekend whilst our clinic is closed, please contact MiNightVet Gorleston on 01493 661833. MiNightVet Gorleston is our preferred emergency services partner.
Please note that our opening hours may be subject to change. Please call us on 01493 750255 to book an appointment or to arrange collection of medication or food. Our practice is an RCVS accredited Small Animal General Practice, welcoming dogs, cats, birds, exotics and small mammals.

We are always pleased to receive your feedback and constantly aim to provide a high-quality service, so if you have any compliments or suggestions on how we can improve, we would like to hear from you.Consultations are by appointment only. To help keep us all safe, please do not attend the practice unless you have a pre-booked appointment, or have arranged to collect food/medication.

My god DO NOT USE - my dog has had an ongoing problem for months, bleeding from ears…300 pounds later and still same problem. For a mth I’ve tried to get her booked in, ringing at 8am to be told until 8.07am that lines are closed ! Then when they finally answer at 8.08am they tell me they’ve had 5 calls already and fully booked! Receptionist was cocky and showed in her voice she didn’t care and blamed my phone for not getting through ! Wouldn’t give me a manager and kept refusing to see my bleeding dog . I am fuming! DO NOT GO HERE EVER

Our yorky has an injury to his paw and this vet has refused to see him because we are on holiday and not local.
The person I spoke to was taking details until I said we are on holiday, she then said "We are not taking new registrations".
I think it is appalling that they could refuse treatment for an animal in pain.
Not worthy of one star.
