Services
Taverham Vets is committed to clinical excellence and all of our vets regularly attend further training courses all over the country. A modern and well equipped facility with more post-graduate "RCVS Certificate" vets than any other practice in the region. Of all the university degree courses in the UK, competition for places at veterinary school is the most intense.
Taverham Vets offer an extensive range of animal treatment and diagnostic services. Our highly trained an qualified team of vets and nursing staff are able to diagnose and treat your pet in house. The practice is purpose built and winner of the BVHA 2007 "best design" award. The further academic qualifications achieved by our vets are backed up by constant investment in new facilities and equipment at Taverham Vets.
The creation of the surgery involved top to bottom redecoration, plus the installation of modern heating and lighting systems. The private car park has been upgraded and incorporates 5 marked parking bays for clients. Such a private car park in the centre of the town is quite a luxury, but we view it as essential for our clients' convenience.
One of our most frequently performed surgeries at Taverham Vets is the laparoscopic spay. This is a keyhole surgery that uses state-of-the-art, minimally invasive equipment. A lap spay involves inserting a camera and specialist instruments into the body wall via two very small incisions, which allows for maximum precision and minimum trauma.
Unlike the old Pet Passport system, these certificates are valid for a specific length of time to cover a single trip only, so you will need a new Animal Health Certificate every time you travel in the EU with your pet. Ensure a minumum of 21 days has elapsed between the date of the Rabies vaccination and the date of travel.

Taverham vets are wonderful, we have had experiences both at Taverham and Longwater Lane branches. With our rabbit Hyphae, they were amazing and did all they could for her. She would have been very grateful, as we were. With our cats now, they are as you’d want a vet to be: going by prices previously quoted instead of new prices, they are polite and informative towards payment plans and knowledge/information needed for health. Thank you Taverham Vets 🙂xx

Recently registered our puppy here, and got to see such a friendly and knowledgeable vet for his immunisations. There was plenty of time in our visit to ask questions and seek advice, and most importantly the experience was calm and positive for puppy. It can sometimes be difficult to get through to the practice on the telephone, but with service this good it’s no wonder they’re in high demand!
