Recently refurbished and improved, a decent African carribean restaurant suitable for all. Good music and ambience and open till late. Prices are decent and affordable.

Waste of time, terrible service don’t bother going there. Walked in and one guy asked us if we’re there to see someone, told him no it’s a reservation, told us to find a seat like we was supposed to know how things work there. We was from out of town. Waited for nearly 20mins at our table, no one came to ask what we like to order. Wasted journey with an Uber there to then leave again. Us making a reservation looks like it was an inconvenience for them.

Really delicious asun. Would have given them 5 stars if they didn’t give me just 5 (literally) pieces of meat for £6.99. Actually would have given 3 stars but my partner said it’s too harsh. Really Disappointed though. Do better

Nice atmosphere for birthday dinners and dancing. Some says it's a restaurant, some say its club. Either way it fit both descriptions. Nice music from the djs. A very busy place. Lively from 12am till 4am.

Restaurant during the day is OK, but at night it turns to a club. It's full of teenagers and hokers. Not a great place to be. Music is decent. Be careful when buying bottles of drinks as the staff sold open bottle that the content was exchanged for much lower quality of drink, which tasted like if it was just scraps of old drinks... Will no be going again.

I have been coming here for a while and the food was really nice and that was why I kept going back. However my last experience was not nice the meal was not nice and the meat was so hard I struggled to cut it. I won't be going for a meal.

Food was lovely would definitely go back here 😍 loved it that much took takeaway for tomorrow lunch 🤷‍♀️ only issue.. Don't be in a rush they are working on African time. Would love to go back when there's no covid. Wasn't an issue in terms of space between table's but would have been good to see how it evolved in to a late night bar as vibe was good!

I would recommend it. the place is nice and presentable. the security staff are on point. the bar staff and the ones taking food orders need to communicate with each other as that was a let down when they misplace the food order and you have to write down what you had to eat and drink.

I would highly recommend roots, a very friendly place with lovely staff, the food is lovely and the service is great, also good nightclub at weekends and the DJS are lovely too, nice to go with family too!

Food was excellent and presented beautifully. The staff were helpful and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. The tastes and flavours transported me back home. The only downside was, they didn't have a drinks menu!!! Not sure how they manage without 🤔
