I enjoyed my stay here while I was waiting to move abroad. The staff need a big pat on the back, very friendly, always happy to help ,and it's good to see the staff not hang around and using mobile phones, that really bugs me 🙂

Went to meet my parents and had the Xmas meal. Very disappointed with it. The menu choice was quite poor and had lots of alcohol laced products with no alcohol free replacement.
The main course well, when I go out for a meal I'd like it cooked better than I can at home. Turkey was dry and covered in jus. What they did to the cabbage was disgusting. The veg was microwaved a bit too much and was nuclear hot inside!
So for £60 I managed a coffee and a main. Didn't even get offered a mince pie or the cheese and biscuits for our fifth course, so we got up and sat in the bar area.
Won't be going

We had our family Christmas dinner here. It was very well organised, with nice food and good service. The atmosphere was fun and festive decorations.
They had a Father Christmas handing out named presents to the children which was a nice touch.
The menu was 5 courses and very good choices.

I was only picking up my wife from a Christmas meal but she was less than impressed with the food and the overcrowding. A 'covid nightmare'.

The double room was shabby, the headboard was not right, as you could see the holes in the wall, the lights were dusty, no pictures on the wall, very dismal. It looked like a room from the 1930s. For a big fronted entrance to a horrible ugly room.

There as part of a wake and only accessed a small part of the hotel. Staff were helpful, attentive. The areas I saw were clean and tidy leaving a good impression.

Our room was clean & comfortable on arrival, though another chair would have been good. Because of the present situation with Covid19 & the safety of staff, we had paper beakers & a wooden stirrer on the tea tray & plastic cups in the bathroom. If you wanted to take a drink back to your room from the bar, again it was a plastic cup. We didn't have any housekeeping, which wasn't an issue for us at all, plenty of bin liners to put any rubbish in & we can make our own bed. All the staff were extremely pleasant and very helpful. The hotel itself was very clean and every precaution was taken for the

The rooms were very comfortable although it was a ridiculously high step to get into the bath/shower. A better shower would prevent a hair drenching while turning on the controls. The staff were superb. The breakfast was very good. A dress code would be advisable - approx 10 year old child in sleep wear, no slippers at breakfast!
