Whitley Abbey Primary School
We have noticed that some of our pupils and bringing their own hand sanitisers into school to use during the school day. For health and safety reasons as we have no control over the contents of individual personal sanitisers can we ask that these remain at home for use outside of school hours for the safety of all our pupils.

We have adequate hand sanitising dispensers around school aswell as individual pump bottles that the children can use and we also know the contents of them should it be ingested and we need to seek medical help. Should you have any queries regarding this please do not hesitate to speak to a member of the school team.
Services
We aim for everyone to be valued, safe and happy. We nurture the mental and physical wellbeing of our community. We celebrate life experiences and enjoy sharing new ones together. Through rich learning opportunities we help children to develop a love of learning. We strive to open children's minds to life's possibilities.
As the Headteacher of Whitley Abbey Primary School, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our website. Our aim is to share with you the many achievements and successes of our enthusiastic and hard-working children, as well as to provide you with a wide range of useful information that enables you to share in the life and learning of the school.
First of all, thank you for all your support and understanding over the last few months. It has been a very unusual and difficult time for us all. I would also like to thank on your behalf all the staff at Whitley Abbey who have supported the children both at home and school with their learning.

As you may be aware, the Government have announced that school will open to all children in September and we are currently working through the guidance to ensure that the school is safe for us all to attend. We will have staggered drop off and pick up times to ensure less congestion on the school site.
At Whitley Abbey Primary School we strive to support all children to enable them to achieve at both home and school. We have high aspirations for our pupils and we work hard to support children appropriately in order to make social and academic progress. In order to do this many steps are taken to support them through their learning journey.
Tell us the name/the role of your lockdown hero and write a short piece about why that person is your hero. We will be updating our risk assessments before the children return to school, as soon as we have the guidance through from the local authority. We have spaces available and would welcome applications for the Autumn Term or any future terms in the school year.

I recently just left here to move up to Academy. I would reccomend this school to everyone and anyone. They are welcoming and will listen to whatever you have to say, they are also humerous i gained the nicknames hj and jolly which were hillarious and i still use hj to address myself. I go with my friend to pick up his brother and i can see they have new teachers, even though i haven't personally met them i can see they are as kind as the teachers i will always remember. If i ever have children if my own (very unlikley) i will send them here to grow up not seriously yet smart and happy. I will
