Schools have an obligation to promote the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of their pupils. There is also a specific requirement to actively promote fundamental British values. We provide a broad and balanced curriculum designed to fulfil our responsibility to prepare children for life in modern Britain.
We ensure that fundamental British Values are introduced, discussed and lived out through our Values-based philosophy that infuses the ethos and work of the school. All curriculum areas provide a vehicle for furthering understanding of these concepts. Our children embrace these values with enthusiasm and demonstrate understanding of how to apply them in their everyday lives.

Welcome to our website and thank you for taking the time to find out more about our school. Heber Primary School is a beautiful Victorian building in the heart of East Dulwich. Situated in a quiet residential road, we are walking distance to a range of open green spaces that we use on a regular basis.
We are pleased to inform you that Heber school tours will resume in September. Tours must be booked in advance. Please call the school office to book a place. Please note, in order to maximum the amount of tours offered, we ask that only one parent / carer attends and we kindly ask that children do not attend as the tour is intended for parents.
We're sorry if your child has not been offered a place at this time. You will automatically be placed on the waiting list and we will contact you if a place becomes available. If you have any queries regarding your application, please email ecameroncooper@heber.southwark.sch.uk or contact the school office.
We're proud of our school uniform. It gives our children a sense of belonging and identity as part of the Heber community and the values we share. School uniform is compulsory. The only jewellery/accessory that children are permitted to wear are plain stud earrings and watches. Branded items can be bought via ParentPay, our secure online payment system, and can be collected from the School Office.
At Heber we provide a healthy cooked meal for all pupils every day, cooked freshly each day onsite by our in-house caterers. We have recently achieved Healthy Schools Silver status from the Soil Association, and we are committed to being a healthy school. Our catering team provides nutritious, balanced meals and we work to educate the pupils on how to make healthier food choices.
