Services
In the tiny wooded hamlet of St. Mewan up a tree lined drive you will find Poltarrow Farm Cottages, home to six beautifully converted barns and the family farm of the Nancarrow's for more than 30 years. With a backdrop of beautiful countryside, the cottages are set around an open courtyard with gardens and ample parking.
Benefiting from level access, this cottage is light and airy with doors opening onto the south-facing terrace, with views across the field to the duck pond. A living area with comfortable sofa and chairs makes relaxing easy, with the flatscreen TV, DVD and CD player helping you feel completely at home during your stay.
When you walk into this one level, wonderfully sunny cottage, your eye is taken through the doors and windows to the fields and lake beyond. The large bathroom has both a walk in shower, with facilities for the less able visitor and a separate bath. The open plan dining/living room with log fire, is always warm and welcoming, with a glazed door leading directly onto the south facing terrace.
From the courtyard, step through to the hallway, where the staircase leads you to the spacious living area with beamed ceilings and wood floors that create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The sunny sitting room is the perfect place to unwind where you can relax in comfort and read the morning paper with a cup of coffee.
One of the last of the original farm buildings to be converted and restored at Poltarrow. Keeping bits of the old but a lot of new, this cottage is now a beautiful holiday retreat. Leading from the south-facing terrace, the door opens into a spacious living area, with open beams and a woodburning stove, to give an instant feel of comfort.

What a fantastic place to stay! The farm is family run and nothing is too much much trouble for them.
The b and b is beautiful, clean and set in lovely surroundings. We were offered tea on arrival, our room was cleaned and tidied every day and we came back to our room one day to find Judith had brought us extra towels for when we used the pool. There were little touches that made staying here even more pleasurable.
