Martin Veterinary Centre
Our practice has been established in Kirkintilloch for over 35 years, and has gradually expanded from a 2 vet to a 7 vet, 4 nurse practice with a total workforce of 17. Due to an ever increasing number of clients from an ever expanding radius the practice outgrew its original premises at Townhead, Kirkintilloch and after a long search we found the ideal location at Southbank Marina in the heart of Kirkintilloch.

The practice was awarded top prize at the 2015 UK Practice Design Awards earning the practice associate membership of the British Veterinary Hospitals Association and placing it alongside previous winners such as Glasgow University Small Animal Hospital. We care passionately about our community and actively support local charities and organisations.
Services
Martin Veterinary Center offers a wide range of medical and surgical investigations and treatments including on-site orthopaedics, ultrasound investigations, echocardiography and acupuncture. Home visits can be arranged by contacting our reception.

However, where possible, we would prefer to examine your pet in our modern, well equipped surgery where we have the full support of our staff and facilities to allow us to deliver a high standard of care and treatment. It is a legal requirement that all dogs are microchipped by the time they are 8 weeks old.
If you have requested a repeat prescription this should be available in 2 days. Please call us on 0141 775 2503 to pay for your medication before travelling to collect it to maximise your safety and that of our staff. If you have requested your prescription after 1pm on a Friday this will be available on Tuesday.
If your pet has an emergency during our normal opening hours, please call the practice and we will advise you what to do next. Vets Now is the pet equivalent of an accident and emergency service, dedicated to providing pets with access to a vet out of hours. It's all they do. Based at Vets Now, Glasgow, their vets and vet nurses are specially trained to deal with pet emergencies.
Pet insurance provides cover for veterinary fees in the event that your pet becomes injured or unwell. It can provide peace of mind that you're in a position to afford all the veterinary care your pet may need. With veterinary medicine employing expensive medical techniques and medication, and with pet owners caring more and more about their pets' health, pet insurance is becoming increasingly popular.
If your insurer asks you to complete your claim online, what we need from you will be greatly simplified. Please note the process may differ between insurers. Attach the clinical history, along with a copy of any payments you've made (you do not have to keep any receipts). Please note the processing of direct claims is discretionary and based on the relationship between the insurer and the clinic.
