When we opened The Italian Kitchen our goal was to have customers compare us to Italian restaurants in Italy, not Glasgow. We decided to bring back good Italian cooking to our city. We believed it was time the people of Glasgow, and its visitors, were reintroduced to fine Italian food - food that had previously been taken for granted in our city.
Good Italian cuisine uses only the freshest ingredients. That's why we prepare our sauces and breads daily. We use only San Marzano tomatoes for our sauces and pizzas. And talking of our pizzas, we prepare them to DOC standard, using only double '0' grade flour, extra virgin olive oil and mozzarella di bufala - add our passion and skill and this is probably why they win awards.

I am absolutely amazed at how we have just been treated by the manager Nuno Vitoo at Italian Kitchen, to the point where my Mum has left the Cafe crying. The food was lovely and we were enjoying our brunch when my mum had a text through from her bank saying she had spent £79.80, the receipt was £19.80 so the waiter had made a mistake and swapped the 7 for the 1 (easy mistake, we are all humans and this could’ve happened to anyone) we raised the concern and called over the waiter (rather than going up to the counter to make a scene) 3 members of staff came over with the card machine and refunded

Been here once and as we ordered they had a power cut, waited around for the power and nothing came back so we had to leave hungry
I would say the team were amazing, didn't charge for drinks and were very attentive throughout the unfortunate experience
I will go back to actually try the food one day

Incredibly unimpressed with the experience I just had in this restaurant. Decided to go in here tonight with Colin and our best friend Maria, just for the sake of going out. I wasn't feeling italian but I caved and decided I did want to try here anyway. Well, I definitely won't be going back.
We were seated fast and with ease by a waiter, which was fine but the service after this point just went downhill. We ordered drinks and were deciding on food, and were asked about 4 times while deciding if we were done, and if we wanted wine, and if we knew what food we wanted, and if we wanted

An Italian friend advised the Italian Kitchen had the best Italian food he had eaten outside his homeland. Having been myself a few times, and having eaten in good restaurants in Italy myself, I would certainly not disagree.
The pizzas are exquisite, sauces and meats used in their variety of dishes are fantastic, and a friend heartily recommends the Insalata Caprese.
Not the cheapest place in the world, but terrific value for the quality on offer.

Good food for the price range. The food was very well presented and served professionally.
The resturant itself is pleasent, quite open and comfortable.
In particular I would recommend the special menu. It's limited but the quality of the dishes is above the price it punches in at.
My only (and very minor) complaint, is that too much cream was used in the soup.

Bright, modern and jazzy - the Italian Kitchen is a lovely italian eatery in the unofficial Italian quarter of Glasgow.
The restaurant, as I mentioned, is modern - very light and airy - with a distinctly 'urban' atmosphere, which is alright, but it can seem a bit fast paced if you're trying to take the time to enjoy your meal. The service is just as fast, which in my eyes, is a winner.
The menu itself is wide and varied - the bruschetta Italia starter is tasty as (mozzarella, parma ham, tomato, rocket, balsamic vinegar....mmm....). The usual pizza and pasta favourites give you

Normally restaurants fail in one of two places, their customer service or their food. This place is an abnormality in that it blows the competition away in both of these places.
The staff are fantastic, you don't even get properly seated before they are taking your drink/wine order and from that point on your regularly checked, your glass never hits bottom and your plates are taken away without having to shout on anyone!
I have been to so many restaurants now (about 3 a week, I love eating out) that I was getting a little tired of food that I could cook better myself, but this place
