Cambridge Nursery School
Cambridge Nursery School has served the local community for over 46 years and offers 2, 3 and 4 year old children 15 hours of excellent free nursery education provided by qualified teachers, teaching and childcare assistants. We offer morning and afternoon places from the term after your child's 2nd or 3rd birthday.

We also have a limited number of places for children to attend for 30 hours in the 3/4 year old room. To check if you qualify please go online to www.gov.uk and search 30 hours free childcare, if successful a voucher code will be generated which you need to bring into nursery to secure a place. 30 hour places are 9.00am - 3.00pm every day and children bring their own packed lunch - there is no charge.
Services
We are a maintained Nursery School with 80 places in the 3/4 year old room along with a further 40 places in our 2/3 year old room. Your child will be allocated either 5 morning sessions or 5 afternoon sessions, please inform us of your preference and we will do our best to ensure we accommodate your request.
At Cambridge Nursery School these values are promoted regularly through high quality teaching, a range of courses and positive behaviour policies. We consistently reinforce out high expectations of the children. The children are taught the value and reasons behind our expectations and we reward the children for good behaviour and attitudes, i.e stickers, star of the day/week.
Our school follows the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. This framework is reviewed and revised by experts in the early years and perscribes what should be provided in an early years setting and the best outcomes for early years children. We plan for the children 'In the moment' to ensure the curriculum is bespoke for the individual child.
We are able to offer 80 places for children the term after their third birthday. We also offer 40 places for 2 year olds who are eligible for free early education. Our large indoor and outdoor learning environments allow children to be nurtured to be independent and inquisitive learners. All staff are qualified and the team consists of teachers, nursery nurses and childcare assistants.
Some 2 year olds in Sefton can get FREE early learning and childcare support if they meet one or more of the eligibility criteria. If you meet the eligibility criteria, your child would be eligible for funding from the term after their 2nd birthday. The aim of this support is to make sure that children from all backgrounds learn at the same rate as their peers and are school ready when they reach 5 years of age.

I went in and asked. But this place is not in any way associated with the University of Cambridge.
