Been coming here for a couple years and the food has always been mediocre at best, but because if the location we always just let it slide. Came for lunch on a Sunday and the food was absolutely ghastly. The worst roast potatoes I’ve ever had, so old and dried out it was like they had been in a dehydrator overnight. Come for a drink but nothing else!

Just stayed here for our lovely weekend exploring the national park. Lovely quiet location but still central to everywhere we wanted to go. Enjoyed a nice drink and stone baked pizza by the river at dinner time, very nice atmosphere. Room was clean and comfortable and included a TV & tea & coffee facilities for us to relax in bed and watch TV. Good WiFi for us to load up our pictures from our day of exploring & the bed was really nice and comfy. Breakfast was also included and was delicious & staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again

Brilliant location, a hidden treasure a 50 minute scenic walk from Totnes. The staff were exceptionally kind, helpful and quick to serve. As it was a Sunday when we went we couldn’t get a taxi back to Totnes; Leah - one of the staff gave us a lift back which saved us walking in the dark. Cannot wait to go back and enjoy this beautiful quaint pub again. Many thanks 🙏

My partner and I stayed at The Waterman's Arms in July 2021, together with our dog Bobby. The pub is in a beautiful location, with a decked seating area right on the river. The room we stayed in was lovely, with beautiful furniture and decor and a bright, clean bathroom. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and the food at breakfast was of a high quality, with the full English being very satisfying. There was also a buffet of fruit, yoghurt and pastries to help yourself to. We also ate two evening meals at the pub and, again, the food was great, plentiful and of a high quality. Bobby, our dog

The decor was extraordinarily wonderful and robustly ingrained to the fabric of yesteryear. The food we had was impeccably delicious, served piping hot and with a full measure of excellent service to boot.
Food and spirits choices were plentiful and the enveloping environment begs to be explored after the meal and drinks are long gone. Exceptional.

A pub with lots of character and friendly bar staff. An extensive amount of outdoor seating with benches close to the river. Large umbrellas over the benches so we were protected from the rain. Option of food as well as drinks. Drinks slightly more expensive than we'd hoped but a good place for a pint!

A really cute pub with a waterside terrace. We stopped here for a couple of pints and some bar snacks in the middle of a walk. Will have to come back for a meal if the snacks are anything to go by - some of the best onion rings I've had in AGES and chunky chips that were (and I mean this as a compliment) basically fried roast potatoes.
