We are a friendly traditional Devonshire Pub, on the Newton Abbot to Totnes Road, with stunning views of the moor from our Courtyard Garden. The Pub dates back to 1702, formerly a farmhouse it was then licensed in 1703. It is still sympathetic to its authentic heritage, has a wooden floor, oak beams and a cosy log fire!
We serve our real ales straight from the casks behind the bar. Our restaurant is set out very traditionally with large fireplaces and log burners. A large collection of shiny brasses and original ornaments can be found amongst the open stone walling, shelves and many nooks around the pub. All this contributes to the warm and cosy 'olde worlde' atmosphere where you can while away an afternoon next to a crackling fire.

Ate at the Two Mile Oak today (27th Oct) and have to say the whole experience was great. We were welcomed, quickly shown to our pre booked table and offered drinks while we looked at the menu. The food was very good but what was really impressive was the service, all our servers were youngsters, (in the eyes of us 50 somethings) and without exception they were all friendly, polite and attentive. I would certainly recommend popping in for a meal.

Stopped here for an evening meal after being recommended by friends. Sat in the bar with the dog, lovely traditional style pub, dog was spoilt with water and treats from the staff! Good selection of real ales and ciders and lots of options on the menu. Food was served quickly and was piping hot and very tasty. Portions were good and the desserts were delicious. Would definitely like to visit more if only we were more local!
