Our children thrive and develop their independence and confidence in a busy and enthusiastic learning environment where there is always much to do, see and learn. You will get a good impression of the school's life and ethos and hope you will take a full and supportive interest in the life of our school.
We believe that children flourish and enjoy school where there is a positive partnership between home and school. Browse through our project galleries to see some of the things we've recently been up to at school. Would you like support at home, on how to speak to your child about relationship and sex issues?

Over the years the school has remained at the very heart of village life and has provided continuity of education for generations from within the community. Presently almost 25% of our pupils travel to the school from outside the recognised catchment area of Asselby and Barmby. They come from Knedlington, Howden and Goole because of our small class sizes, family atmosphere, excellent resources, and high standards of teaching and learning.
We hope that you find this site informative giving you a good overview of some of the excellent life that we and our pupils share together as we seek to make our school a place of high quality learning and interaction. Barmby on the Marsh Primary School strives for the highest quality in delivering success to its pupils.
The school PTA is run by parents to raise additional funds and provide community functions. They organise a number of fund raising events throughout the year. Keep an eye out for their next event. We hope that our new Friends of the School will enjoy continuing to fundraise for the school. Thank you for your support.
Our School Council consists of a representative from each year group (Year1 to 6). These children have been voted in by their fellow pupils to represent their views, opinions and to organise activities and fund raising events. The Council aims to meet once each half term and has a member of staff at each meeting who helps out when required.
It is important for children to have school clubs to attend that will help them find and discover their interests and talents. Clubs also help to broaden children's thinking and give opportunities for informal fun learning that sometimes the classroom cannot facilitate. There are many extra curricular activities that take place at school.
