Playdays Nursery has its own large outdoor area to the immediate rear of the nursery. We recognise the importance of outdoor play, and fully engage in taking the indoors out. The majority of our indoor activities and resources can be relocated to the outdoor area in good weather for the children to enjoy.
At Playdays we aim to encourage the children to understand the awareness of being healthy, having a healthy diet and the importance of exercise. This is achieved through taking part in a wide range of activities that include cooking, exploring new tastes and developing an understanding of how our bodies work and the foods we need to help us grow, together with lots of physical activities.
At Playdays our LAYOUT, PLANS, AND LEARNING never stands still, in each and every room we continually develop a broad range of activities to suit all ages and development to challenge children both mentally and physically. Children enjoy reading a new book or having it read to them while they look at the pictures in a cosy corner, dressing up and being a prince, princess or super hero.

The nursery have been amazing during this pandemic. The staff have adapted to the new “ways of life” very well with minimal impact to the children. The way staff greet us at the door in full ppe makes me feel reassured that my son is in safe hands without my son feeling worried about it all. There is a vast range of activities that the children get up to during the day from baking, singing, crafts to playing in the garden as well as learning about topics. I always find the staff bubbly and happy as well as helpful when I have any concerns.
