Services
The nursery is situated at the rear of Beck House, Beck Row, Mildenhall, Suffolk. The house itself dates back to the 16th century. At the rear of the nursery, there is a lovely miniature farm of twelve acres. The children are actively involved in growing their own vegetables, fruit, herbs and flowers totally organically.
At Busy Bees, we aim to make learning fun for each child, at the same time building on their self-esteem. It is vital from the earliest age, children gain confidence in themselves and their ability to succeed at their own pace. Great emphasis is placed on moral values. We believe this is the most important time of the child's development - certainly the most impressionable.
We have a wonderful team looking after the children with a combination of childcare qualifications ranging from NVQ2 - to degree and Early years Professional status. All members of staff are trained in Paediatric First Aid, Food Safety Level 2 and Safeguarding Children. Many also frequently attend additional training courses, workshops and lectures.
I just want to say thank you for caring for my daughter and providing her with a good foundation to start school. The girls have been amazing with her. My daughter has progressed very much since this was her first experience with farm animals. She is always eager to go back to school, which means she felt loved and taken care of, as well as safe.
Busy Bees Nursery School is part of a wider community, which we try to embrace where possible. We try to encourage healthy eating at the nursery, an idea which is put into practice by the children growing their own vegetables in their organic garden at the rear of the nursery. The children have the opportunity to get back to nature and learn where fruit and vegetables come from, our healthiest foods!

Really great nursery. Large, established operation with lots of nice people on staff. Good security procedures with CCTV monitoring. Most non-holidays are covered under government grant, otherwise, it gets expensive. They offer swimming, dance, language and other lessons to students, for extra fees. They have a pretty large acreage with a small working farm. The children get to go to "forest school" to interact with the farm animals, learn about plants, and play outside. They have the ability to bus students to some nearby schools (West Row, Beck Row, St. Mary's,) but coordinate that before you
