Took the missus and mother for a meal yesterday. The food was very nice but unfortunately slightly let down by the customer service skills they don't have a smile and a welcome wouldn't go a miss as well as asking how was the food. Food almost went to the wrong table. Still operating table service not sure why waited around 5 minutes for a drink wasn't no one around to order so I pressed the bell myself and like magic someone popped up. Cob webs on the lamp on the wall which was above our table. Other then that drinks went down a treat and the food was very nice.

The George & Dragon has always been known for great value steaks. It used to be my family's go to birthday place when we were younger. So recently we decided to give it a go, now we're much older. You still get decent great value steaks! £21 for a 20oz T-bone these days is hard to beat! Oh and they set e a decent pint of mild, which made the old man very happy indeed!!!

Went on a Thursday evening with a friend, unplanned whilst we was passing. Found us a table even though we hadn't booked, service and food was fast, food was lovely. Vegetarian chili and chicken curry. Good portion sizes. A bit pricey but isn't everywhere now. Would go back

Absolutley beautiful Sunday roast. I went for the beef and it did not disappoint. A good selection of vegetables on it and loads of tasty roast potatoes. I went for a large one and got so much meat! It was really really good. Would highly recommend!

Menu stated £6.95 for a Sunday lunch. Got there and said we didn’t need menu as we had looked online and wanted to order x 2 lamb dinners. Waited an hour for food. Had to ask 3 times for drinks before eventually getting served. Shocked at meal was given a large lamb chop which was nothing but fat and gristle, 2 small
Potatoes, 1 roast potatoes a tablespoon of peas and cabbage, 3 sliced pieces of carrot a undercooked Yorkshire pudding and was billed £18.50 each!! You can’t advertise meals for £7 and charge customers this extortionate amount! And for 1 lamb chop each! Disgusting never go

Nice pub but the service was dreadful. The car park is like driving on the surface of the moon, if you don't have good ground clearance you might bottom out. For some reason they still think we are in lockdown so you can't go to the bar and are shown to a table we ordered drinks on entry. We waited 10 minutes for drinks then asked where they were. Meantime a regular came in and got served straight away. After nearly half an hour and 2 more requests for drinks we were served. Can't see me going back any time soon sadly.

Lovely wee family run pub, room was clean and tidy. A little outdated but adds to the charm. The breakfast was OK my advice would be not to be the last down to breakfast although the last serving was 8.45am which I thought was a little early for a Sunday morning. Overall a really nice place to stay.

Food quite nice, menu fairly extensive although we only ate off the lunchtime menu. Staff seemed a little inattentive and could benefit from a little training. Never had desert as although asked for menu nobody seemed very interested in obtaining order.
