Service was OK....we hadn't booked so great that we were offered a table, and food arrived promptly.
We did not experience authentic indian food, and it lacked flavour and was generally a bit uninspiring and bland. The paratha was more like a fried chapati. Dripping with oil and not that pleasant.
However, what I really cannot accept are pointed remarks as we left our table having had no cash to tip with. Sarcastic comments by staff are not what I'd expect.
Will not be returning I'm afraid. So unavoidable with a bit of effort.

An oasis of Indian Food! We visited Berwick-upon-Tweed and got there late in the day. A quick wander around town brought us to this restaurant. We ordered take-away and were delighted! None of the dishes were too oily, which in our experience is the bane of Indian restaurants. The food was tasty and I recommend the aloo Gobi, while the kids recommend the butter chicken!

We were so disappointed in this place. The building at some point has been loved but is tired now. We had a meal from the lunch menu. The lamb must have been from an old ewe and they must have forgotten to put the spice into the sauce. We were the only two people in until a party of four came in at 1.20 asking if they were still serving for them to be barked at they were closing at 2pm. I was surprised they came in. I hope their experience was better than ours!
