We are delighted to be open indoors and out and have loved welcoming so many of you. Our Orangery has proved so popular that we have decided to keep it for another couple of months to to give a covered outdoor option whilst the weather is unpredictable! Every table has it's own heater and there are blankets for cooler evenings.
If you fancy popping in for a drink, then just come along, there are plenty of tables available. What an emotional roller coaster the last year has been - from lockdowns and tiers to changing guidelines, the one thing that has been clear is the amazing support and encouragement we have had from you, our customers and friends.

The White Hart in Fyfield is a village pub and restaurant that puts great food and hospitality at its heart. Described as a "foodies' paradise" by the Oxford Times, it's a hub for both locals and visitors to gather, feast and relax. Since arriving at the White Hart in 2005, Mark and Kay Chandler have restored this beautiful hostelry to its 15th century former glory.
We are passionate about quality and only prepare the very best food, sourced mainly from local farms, suppliers and our lovingly tended kitchen gardens. This ensures food is fresh, seasonal and keeps our carbon footprint low. As a family-owned restaurant, we are proud to have held two rosettes for culinary excellence for 15 years running.
We love making (and eating!) fresh pasta at home. Here is the recipe Mark uses both at home and the White Hart. It is delicious served simply with olive oil or butter and fresh Parmesan or you could try Mark's butternut squash and Parma ham pasta recipe here. Add the '00' flour, semolina and egg yolks into a food processor and mix until they form a ball (be careful not to overwork though).
Our wonderful bartender and mixologist, Sam, has designed some delicious cocktails for you to try at home during lockdown. Relax after a tough week with our delicious take on a Dark and Stormy! Let the mixture cool and strain. You can make this a delicious non alcoholic drink too - replace the Crabbies with a non alcoholic ginger beer (Fevertree is good) and float the chai concentrate on top rather than the rum.

Brilliant find today. Beautiful building and interior (think Hogwarts!) and the food is sensational. Highly recommend the trout starter, the bream which is cooked to perfection with the most incredible side of gnocchi and fusion salad and definitely give the rhubarb egg custard or the cheese board a go.

I think the rest of my party had a better experience but my fish and chips was so greasy it dripped oil off the side of my plate collecting a large puddle on the table. Not a pleasant taste or texture either. And £19 for basic/poor F&C, even at West Oxfordshire prices, is high. A beautiful building and the staff were lovely even if run off their feet. If they weren't so exceptionally busy and I wasn't surrounded by family, I'd have sent back.

We're not the biggest fans of the traditional Sunday Roast so when we find somewhere that can take it to the next level we get a table booked sharpish...
We went for the three course menu and couldn't fault any of the six dishes enjoyed between us. Each course displayed subtle contemporary twists and beautiful attention to detail that made it an instant classic and added to a fantastic meal experience overall.
Recently crowned by The Independent and Sawdays as one of the Top 50 pubs in England to visit post-lockdown... and we can see why. The food is amazing, the service friendly, and the atmosphere

Staff were really welcoming and accommodating. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Food was excellent and beautifully presented. The slow-roasted pork belly was particularly good - fantastic flavour to the pork and the signature straight stick of crackling was some of the best we've had. Love the fact that the menu changes daily based on the ingredients available and the chefs on shift. We will definitely be returning here again soon to try more dishes.
