Called to say I would be very late in the night, after being told it was 24/7 check in we finally made it after 7 hours of driving for the doors to be locked and the out of hours number INVALID!!! Walked about trying to find anyone for an hour and a half before SLEEPING IN THE CAR with two dogs and my brother!!!! Apparently the security guard was “busy”??? Horrible service and a POOR apology.

Staff were were very friendly, especially the restaurant manager, and the cleaning staff were very helpful. Food was lovely, the rooms clean. The man on the keyboard playing in the bar on a Tuesday night was very talented and the group of people in on a trip made it and enjoyable fun evening, dancing. Made a family stay very enjoyable.

Stayed the weekend when climbing Scafell Pike. Location ideal - about 30 minutes out. Room is basic but clean with super comfy beds and a powerful shower. Food is reasonable for what you pay. Upstairs bar is nice but a tad expensive (£4.50 for any draught beer/cider). Staff friendly but there's an air that they're not really bothered. Would 10/10 recommend as a place to eat and sleep.

This was my first visit to this place.It was like a maze with doors and corridors everywhere.The staff seem friendly.It looks like student accommodation with lots of rooms,The room was clean and tidy I wasnt there long but the bed was comfy, the room not very big,small size tv,kettle,tea and coffee etc.It is situated out in the countryside and not much around.
