Children are supported in becoming confident and independent young people, who thrive on challenge, and are motivated to learn. All schools have their own distinctive 'feel' which makes each one unique. We believe that the 'special feel' at Stanningley Primary comes from our nurturing, supportive and friendly environment.

Services
Please arrive between 8. 40 a.m. and 8.45 a.m. It is better to be late than to take a day off! Children who arrive after their class has gone into assembly, should come to the front door to sign in at the office. Children can enter their classroom as soon as the doors are opened at 8.40am. This avoids congestion in the cloakrooms and encourages a calm start to the day.
At Stanningley Primary School education is about learners experiencing the joy of discovery, solving problems and being creative, which we believe helps the children to develop their self-confidence so that they can mature academically, socially and emotionally. The staff at our school will combine basic skills learning and high standards with a broad, balanced and rich curriculum.
Play games to practice rhyming and categorizing! Say a word, like log, and see if your child can come up with words that rhyme, like dog and hog. Or, give him a category, such as animals, and see how many he can think of. Play games to build sound awareness and vocabulary as you look for objects around you.
The success of Stanningley Primary School sits within the support that we receive from so many people in our close school community. The PTA volunteers give us so much time to raise money for our school fund, to help our children to enjoy extra treats and experiences. Our Governors are so supportive of Stanningley Primary too - they attend meetings, help to make SPS successful, see their link classes and visit school events.
