Popped in for lunch and had a lovely meal. The risotto was really tasty and my partner had the venison pie which was also well presented and tasted great!

Excellent staff, service was attentive but in your face. The food and cakes were outstanding and we tried some new teas which was fun. We would highly recommend the afternoon tea and be using the Angel Hotel more in 2022 (covid19 permitting) 👍

Festive high tea. The whole experience is absolutely delicious from the greeting to the departure. Service and courtesy hark back to times gone by. Highly recommended.

Hotel accommodation and facilities were fantastic; however, as a guest we didn't feel welcomed, it was as if there was more focus on dinner bookings than residents. Breakfast was very good, once we had been served...

The prosecco afternoon high tea at The Angel Hotel is second to none in my opinion. The sandwiches, cakes, pastries and scones were delicious as always and so much variety. The staff were friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Needless to say we will be returning.

Absolutely outstanding!!
We were gifted Afternoon Tea for 2. We called and booked for 2 adults and asked if we could bring our two children which we were told was no problem.
We recieved a warm welcome at Reception and the service in the tearoom area of the hotel was nothing less that superb. The servers couldn't do enough and catered for the children too which was lovely.
The Afternoon Tea was simply beautiful, a variety of warm savouries, sandwiches and delicious cakes and treats, and on top of that the most delicious scones served warm with clotted cream.
I would highly recommend Afternoon

Fabulous afternoon tea. Lovely surroundings with real linen tablecloths and napkins. It is expensive but really lovely for an occasion. Waiting staff make you feel very special. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely outstanding, first time to visit here for food. We were seated in the restaurant which was beautiful. The food was amazing, the best (huge) fish and chips. The service was unbelievable, all the staff from front of house to the bar and restaurant were very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back 😊😊

The staff were very helpful and polite, the food and service were faultless.
The only problem was the shower, which overflowed into the bathroom floor as it didn't drain away quick enough, they offered to give us a different room as they couldn't get a plumber but it was on a another floor and we had unpacked everything and in our dressing gowns, rushing to go out as it was my wife's 60th birthday and our silver wedding anniversary.
PS
We were hoping they may have offered us an upgrade knowing it was a special occasion but they didn't.
