Llanthony Priory Hotel
Idyllic, beautiful, calming, atmospheric, just a few words often said about Llanthony Priory. Whether you want to go walking, cycling or trekking, maybe do some reading, painting or star gazing. Llanthony is a wonderful base to cater for all. Four of our guest rooms are situated in the tower next to the dining room and reached by a spiral staircase.

The rooms are comfortable but basic and furnished in a manner suited to a 12th century priory, including four poster or half tester beds. They have no en-suite facilities, and in fact have no plumbing at all. We do have two fully fitted shower rooms situated on the first floor. Next to the tower we also have three additional guest rooms with a fully fitted bathroom.
Services
Due to the unique nature of our hotel, every room is different and we want to ensure your stay with us is everything you hope it to be. Please note due to the age and nature of our hotel none of our bedrooms have en suite facilities. Four of our guest rooms are situated in the tower next to the dining room and reached by a spiral staircase.
This small country inn, often known as the "Abbey Hotel", sits within and is actually part of the original 12th century Augustinian priory. Real ales are served in the vaulted under croft bar, thought once to have been the prior's cellar, while excellent homemade meals are served in the dining room, with its vaulted ceiling and open log fire.
Llanthony Priory was one of the earliest houses of Augustinian canons to be founded in Britain, and is one of only a handful in Wales. It is chiefly famous today for its wild and beautiful setting, far up the Vale of Ewyas in the Black Mountains. It was the priory's remoteness in the Welsh hills which was its undoing, however, making it vulnerable to attack.
Llanthony Priory Hotel are looking for staff for our 2020 season which runs from mid-March until the end of October. Fancy working within the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park in the village of Llanthony?. Ideally, we need a couple to help us run the bar, help with serving food and housekeeping for the seven-bedroom hotel.

We stayed in the hotel this summer and the rooms were comfortable, clean, and our stay was pretty much perfect. OK, it's not exactly a Hilton - no WiFi, bathrooms are shared with 2 other rooms, no phone signal - but they don't pretend to be anything else either.
The staff are really nice, the drinks at the bar are really great and most importantly the surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. As for the food, we really liked breakfast while dinner was just about OK.

Lovely location, did not stay at the hotel, just went to visit the church and ruins and was not disappointed. Wish drones were allowed cause that's the only reason I am giving it 3 stars.

Beautiful place. You can really feel the history. Best to arrive by foot as the road in is long and windy. We unfortunately weren't staying but would love to some time.

** Review for restaurant **
Came here for dinner, food was nice and good price. Got a pint from the bar and you can drink them sitting on the grass within the Priory which is lovely.
Great selection of beers/drinks. Also had a small shop on the bar which sold crisps/snacks/postcards.

Stopped off to have a look at the Priory ruins and decided to have a sandwich and drinks once we were there. Really friendly staff, felt properly welcome, food served promptly and good standard, with a good selection of local beers. Great location for starting/ending a walk too.
