Very nice old pub by the harbour. Lots of character. Normally run as a hotel, currently B and B as the estaurant is only open for breakfast. Nice rooms, modern and clean in an historic building. Fairly expensive rates for a B and B. Nice breakfast but portions small...half a slice of black pudding, only one egg. There is cereal, toast and yoghurt too. Shame that the cooked part is so small as overall its very nice. Enjoyed our stay.

We went twice to the pub, had a fabulous first experience, attentive and friendly staff. There are notices in the pub saying they are not serving food due to staff shortages. Second time, we went with our push bikes and grabbed a pasty from the shop next door ... to be told ... 'we are not allowing eating outside!' In these times of where pubs have been shut for a year, you think they would be grateful and found a niche in their market ... so instead of the 6 pints we would have had, we had 1 then went. Took our trade elsewhere. They need to relook at their marketing strategies.. up yours Rising

We've just enjoyed a 3 night stay here in beautiful Lynmouth. The hotel's location is spot on. We had a room with a sea view which was great to wake up to each morning. Breakfast was great. We enjoyed a drink every evening outside on the bench after dinner (would recommend The Oak Room and The Old Bank). Tim went above and beyond in making sure everything was OK for us and is a credit to the place 👍 Would definitely stay here again.
